Daniel 4:27
Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
"break off thy sins by righteousness" - we need to humble ourselves, and get rid of the sin in our life! It is not me saying it, this is God's Word. It may be any sin cussing, pride, alcohol, lust, pride, lying, stealing, slothfulness, anger, the list can go on and on.
Sin is sin, no matter which one, we need to remove it.
Why you ask? Let me show you from Psalm 51, what God says:
(1) Psalm 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Sin dirties us, we become covered, stained by the sin
(2) Psalm 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Sin distracts us, we need to acknowledge the sin we have in our life.
(3) Psalm 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
Against thee, when we sin, the sin is against the Lord.
1 John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
We are born separated from God, thanks to Adam and Eve, and their desire for the forbidden fruit.
Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Sin through separation from God, leaves us longing for joy and peace
David says when I do I hurt myself, and it hurts, bad:
Psalm 51:8
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
What do we do, how do we fix this
Remove the sin and seek forgiveness
Psalm 51:9-13
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. [10] Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. [11] Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. [12] Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. [13] Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
If you never asked the Lord for forgiveness He wants you to, I would live to tell you it is simple, confess with your mouth, repent of your sins, and accept Christ as your Savior, I would live to help you through God's Word.
Christian, maybe you have accepted Christ, but you are sliding backwards seek God, repent don't remain dirty, God is waiting for you
You may say you don't know how far I've gone, Peter looked right at the Lord and hedenied him, but look at the message from the angel in the tomb, when the ladies found it empty
Mark 16:7
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
Tell the disciples and Peter, one failure means nothing, God wants you to give it all to Him
